PENERAPAN QUANTUM TEACHING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SISWA KELAS VIII MTsN SUNGAI LASI KABUPATEN SOLOK

ABSTRACT
The purposes of this research was to find out the result of biology’s learning outcomes to the students by using Quantum Teaching and it effects the student’s learning result than using conventional methods in MTsN Sungai Lasi, Solok on June 6th to 27th March 2013. This research is an experimental research with Randomized Control Group Posttest-Only Design. The population of this research is all of eighth grade students of the second semester MTsN Sungai Lasi, Solok academic year 2012/2013 consisting three classes. The research used purposive sampling technique to select the sample, and determined VIII2 grade as experiment class and VIII1 grade as. In the research, the analysis techniques of data consist of normality test, homogeneity test and hypotheses test. The results of this research showed the application of Quantum Teaching model in giving the influence to the improvement of student’s learning outcomes in biology’s subject in the cognitive aspect of the avarage value of the experimental class 71,20 and the control class 56,00 (α = 0,05). In affective’s aspect, the average value was 88,34% in experiment class and 86,16% in control class. In addition, in Psychomotor aspect with an average value of 85,50% experiment class and 83,33% in the control class. From the result of this research, it can be concluded that Quantum Teaching model can improve learning outcomes in biology’s subject to the students in eighth grade MTsN Sungai Lasi, Solok.
