PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TALKING STICK DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN HANDOUT DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 27 PADANG

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to look at differences in students' cognitive learning outcomes of experimental biology class and control class in eighth grade SMP N 27Padang and to see the results of students studying biology in terms of affective and psychomotor aspects of experimental class and the control class. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP N 27 Padang as 7 classes listed in the academic year 2012/2013. Examples of assessment done by purposive sampling, while for determining the experimental class and the control class by way of random sampling. In this research, the experimental class is VII.5 class and control class is the class VII.1. At the end of the tests carried out found that the average value of the experimental class with 80.36 percentage of student learning outcomes completeness of 73.3% and the average value of the control class with a percentage of 30% of the 72.7 mastery of student learning outcomes. Statistical tests on the real level of 0.05 obtained t> t table, the hypothesis H1 is accepted. Assessment of learning outcomes in the affective aspects of experimental class higher than the control class. The average value of 78% affective experimental classes while the average value of 67% control class. As for the psychomotor aspects of experimental class that is 68.3% higher than the control class lower 60.3 It can be concluded that, there is a difference in student learning outcomes by using the application of cooperative learning model using a talking stick with handouts and conventional learning in learning in biology class VIII SMP N 32 Padang.
