EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN DALAM BENTUK PROBLEM SOLVING DIAWALI TUGAS MERINGKAS TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI KELAS XI SMA 2 NEGERI PARIAMAN

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to find the effectivity of study with problem solving teaching technique, where students are asked to make a resume, toward the cognitive result of grade XI students in SMAN 2 Pariaman. This kind of research is an experiment that uses Randomized Control-Group Post-test Only Design. The population of this research is all the grade XI students in SMAN 2 Pariaman which are registered in 2012/2013 study year and it consists of 5 classes. To define the sample class, Purposive Sampling is used while Random Sampling is used to define the control class. The result is XI1 as the experiment class and XI2 as the control class. The instruments which are used are the students’ study result and observation paper. The result of the research shows that the average of cognitive study result of the experiment class (73.94) is higher rather than the control class’ (58.95). The affective study result shows that the experiment class with the average 90.52 % is higher rather than the control class with 81.71% as the average. The psychomotor result of the experiment class is 91.00% as the average which is higher than the control class with only 82.59%. The data analysis uses uji-t shows that thitung>ttabel (3.90 > 1.67), so the hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded from the result of this research that the effectivity of problem solving technique in the experiment class is higher than the control class’
