Abstract

 

This study aimed to compare the results of studying biology class VII student of SMP Negeri 32 Padang between students who are taught using cooperative learning  type time token with students who were taught using conventional teaching. This type of research is experimental with the entire population of Siwa class VII SMP Negeri 32 Padang were enrolled in the school year 2012/2013.Sample grading was done by purposive sampling technique , while to determine the experimental class and the control class is done by random sampling . In this study obtained class as the experimental class and class as a control class . The design of the study is a Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design . The results showed that the average value of learning outcomes experimental class 73.38 higher than the control class 59.39 . Can be concluded that cooperative learning type time token improve learning outcomes biology class VII student of SMP Negeri 32 Padang.
