Abstract

 

The purpose of this research was to find out the differentiation of the result of the study between the implementatation of active learning method true or false type with convetonal method (speech, discussion an question answer). This research was experimental. The population was SMP Pertiwi 1 Padang class VII. To take the sample the writer and used purposive sampling technique and to chose experimental class and control class the writer used random sampling, in this research, class VII3 was experimental class and VII5 was control class, the instrumentation was the result of the study on kognitif aspect and psychomotor used observation sheet. Hypothesis test did by t-test, because the data distributed normal and homogenous varians. The result of the research showed that the mean after the test given on experimental class was 71,45 and control class 41,65 ( = 0,05) got Thitung = 8,40 and Ttabel = 1,67 it means Thitung Ttabel so hypothesis was received. The scoring o afektif and psycootor class experiment (affective : 72 and psychomotor : 75) more high than control class (afective : 68 and psychomotor : 65), so the conclusion that the implementation of active learning strategy true or false type using concept map in biology learning was better used that convensional learning and the writer suggest that active learning true or false type can implemented on the other material.
