Abstrak

ABSTRACT

            The purpose of this study is to see the results of the cognitive aspects of learning biology using cooperative learning model AchievementDivision Student Teams ( STAD ) by using the conventional method in class XI SMA N 2 Pariaman . The study was a randomized experimental research design controlgroup posttest only design . Population of this study were all students of SMAN 2 Pariaman kelasXI enrolled in the school year 2012/2013 a total of 240 people . Sample grading done by purposive sampling technique . To establish the experimental class and the control class , researchers used random way . Based on that at random by the author it was found that the experimental class XI Science 2 class and control class is a class XI IPA 3 . The results obtained with the cognitive aspects of providing end to second -class test samples while for affective and psychomotor aspects of using the observation sheet . The average values obtained cognitive experimental class was 79.31 and the average value of the control class is 46.34 . To test the hypothesis used t-test . T value obtained is equal to t = 16.59 and t table = 2.00 at α = 0.05 confidence level . Prices t smaller than t table , this means that Ho is accepted , ie there is no influence between the results learn biology students using cooperative learning model student Teams Achievement Division ( STAD ) with a biology student learning outcomes using conventional learning .
