Abstrak

ABSTRACT

 


The purpose of this research was to find out the influence of the active learning strategies of ETH’s type started by summarizing task of biology’s study result on VII grade students of SMP 12 Padang. This research is experimental study using Randomized Control Group Posttest Only design. The population of this research were all of VII grade students of SMPN 12 Padang. The writer applied purposive sampling technique to take sample and to choose between the control class and the experimental class randomly. The data about students learning outcomes in biology’s subject gathered from final test and analyzed by using t'-test. In experimental class on cognitive learning outcomes with an average value of 83,69 is higher than the control class 81,11. The average value of affective experimental class (72,41) is higher than the control class (59,87) from the analysis of data, the value of t' obtained is 0,93. When compared hypothesis testing. Therefore, the hypothesis is not acceptable (@=0,05). From the result of the research it can be concluded that the implementation of active learning strategies of ETH’s type doesn’t significantly affect learning outcome of biology’s subject to the students of SMPN 12 Padang.
