NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM NOVEL SEBELAS PATRIOT KARYA ANDREA HIRATA

Abstrak

This research aim to describe the educational and character value on the novel : Sebelas Patriot  by Andrea Hirata. This research used theory of the educational and character value was affirmed by Hasan et al covered 18 aspects the educational and character value. The type of this research a qualitative by using descriptive method. Techniques of the data collection were (1) reading  and understanding a novel of : Sebelas Patriot by Andrea Hirata at all, (2) writing all related data to the study object, and clarifying data based on the related problem of the research. While Techniques of doing in the data process analysis were (1) analyzing data that had been collected as according to aspects of the research, (2) making interpretation the data analysis data, making classification and (3) formulating the summary of the research. Based on the analysis data to the novel: Sebelas Patriot  by Andrea Hirata was found ten aspects of the educational and character value those are eager, affection to the land, nationalism spirit, work hard, creative, appreciate to the achievement, friendship and communicative, eager to reading, religious, social care, while eight aspects of the other educational and character value those are, honesty, tolerance, discipline, independent, democratic, peace, environmental care and nothing of responsibility. Therefore, it can be concluded that the novel of Sebelas Patriot by Andrea Hirata content the value of character education, eager, affection to the land, nationalism spirit, work hard, creative, appreciate to the achievement, friendship and communicative, eager to reading, religious, and social care.
