PENINGKATAN MINAT DAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PUISI SISWA DENGAN TEKNIK PETA PIKIRAN KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 2 SUTERA KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

Abstrak

The background of the research is stimulated by the lower of enthusiastic writing a poem in poem writing teaching at SMPN 2 Sutera, Pesisir Selatan regency. It  caused by the teaching process have focus on the theory through speech method, thus the enthusiastic and the ability of student to appreciate and create an artwork is not maximal. The purpose of the research is to describe an increasing of students enthusiastic and a poem writing ability at class VII SMPN 2 Sutera, Pesisir Selatan regency by using mind mapping technique. This research is class action research that is done in two cycle. Data that have been obtained during the research process analyzed by qualitative and quantitative method. A teaching model that used in this research is a mind mapping technique. Research data have been obtained from the teacher and students observation sheet, students working sheet, and a questioner students aspirations. The result of the research showed there was a significant improvement the students enthusiastic and ability in writing a poem in every cycle. The enthusiastic of student based on observation result increase 27,6% those are from 49,2% in the first cycle and become 77,17% in the second cycle. The students enthusiastic based on questioner sheet result increasing 18,45%, from 62,16% in first cycle become 80,61% in the second cycle. The ability of student in writing a poem also increase 19,17%, those are from 58% at the first cycle become 77,17% in second cycle. Based on the result data analysis, can be concluded that the usage of mind mapping technique can increase the enthusiastic and ability of student in writing a poem at the class VII SMPN 2 Sutera, Pesisir Selatan regency.
