PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PARAGRAF SISWA KELAS X-8 DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION (CIRC) DI SMAN 1 2X11 ENAM LINGKUNG KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN
Abstrak
The purpose of this research is to increase student’s activity and paragraph writing skill, in X-8 class SMAN 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman regency, by using cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) model. Theories that applied here are: 1) Oemar Hamalik about learning activity, 2) Henry Guntur Tarigan and M. Atar Semi about writing, 3) Atmazaki, M .Atar Semi, Ermanto and Emidar about paragraph, 4) Anita Lie, Wina Sanjaya and Isjoni about cooperative learning model, and 5) Nur Asma and Suyatno about cooperative integrated reading and composition learning model. This research is class measuring research with CIRC as learning model. This research was performed in X-8 class of SMAN 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman regency. Instruments in this research are tests and non-tests (observation sheet). Results of this research show that: 1) in first cycle, percentage student’s activity is 58.34%, and in second cycles, it is 76.19% (17.85% increasing), and 2) students who complete this subject matter in first cycle were 17 students or 80.95%, while in second cycles it was 20 students or 95.24% (14.29% increasing). Based on results, it can be conclude that CIRC model can increase student’s activity and paragraph writing skill in X-8 class SMAN 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman regency.
