PENERAPAN METODE QUANTUM TEACHING DENGAN KERANGKA TANDUR DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 1 KINALI

Abstrak

The trend of teachers to dominate in learning process led student to have problem in understanding the concept, the students just memorized the concept without understanding correctly that effected the result students’ learning. To over come this problem, one way that could be done was Quantum Teaching method. In this method, the teachers were only as the facilitators, and students found out their own concept, discussed together with their group. In this method, the students were expected to be happier in learning math. The purpose of this research was to find out how the activities and the result of learning by applying Quantum Teaching Method in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Kinali, and also to determine whether the students’ proportion who achieved and mastered the math concept in learning by applying Quantum Teaching was better than the students’ proportion who achieved and mastered the math concept in learning by applying the conventional. The data of learning activities were obtained from observation sheets, which showed the increasing of students’ learning activities. The data of the result were obtained from the final test. It could be concluded that result of learning math that taught by Quantum Teaching method with TANDUR was better than the math learning used the conventional.
