Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low activity of talking Elementary School fifth grade students Many Solok Batu 17. This is due to the learning process that is centered on the teacher. Teachers do not give students the chance to express themselves freely dispense with the ability of students. One way that can be used to overcome this problem is to use a strategy Modeling The Way. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in activity of fifth grade students talk through strategies Modeling The Way Elementary School in Many Solok Batu 17. Type of research is a class act. The research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings. Subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SD Negeri 17 Solok Batu lot totaling 20 people. The research instrument used in this study is the observation sheet activity sheet activities of teachers and students in learning to speak Indonesian. The results showed that an increase in the percentage of students in the learning activities of speaking Indonesian from the first cycle of 60% increase in the second cycle to 80%. Thus concluded that the activity of class V student speaks Indonesian at the learning can be enhanced through modeling strategy The Way Elementary School in Many Solok Batu 17.
