Abstrak

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to determine the effect of learning outcomes between the application of learning models talking stick with conventional learning in biology teaching students of class VII SMP N 2 Linggo Sari Baganti. This study began on 1 June 2013 and ending on 30 June 2013. Type of research is experimental research with sampling method with a randomized study design. The population in this study were all students of class VII Semester 1 SMP N 2 Linggo Sari pelajaran2013/2014 Baganti year consisting of 5 classes. Grade sample retrieval techniques implemented through random and purposive sampling to determine the experimental class and the control class. Techniques of data analysis consisted of normality test, homogeneity test and test hypotheses. The results in this study showed the Talking Stick Learning Model Application in biology learning has a positive effect on improving student learning outcomes in the cognitive aspects with an average value of 75.8% in experimentation class and 43.28% in the control class with a level of statistical test (α = 0,05). Assessment in the affective aspects can with an average value of 82.5% in the experimental class, and an average of 77.5% in the control class psychomotor aspect with an average value of 78% in the experimental class and the control class 75.5% of It can be concluded that the application of learning models Talking Stick in learning biology class VII SMP N 2 Linggo Sari South Coastal District Baganti effect on learning outcomes Biology in SMP N 2 Linggo Sari Baganti.Untuk was suggested to teachers to implement learning models talking stick in the learning process.
