PENERAPAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF TIPE LEARNING TOURNAMENT PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 5 KOTO XI TARUSAN

Abstrak

Research is hased on lack of students creativity in learning process in mathematic study. Students are not serious in following study. Students don’t make exercises well lack of students corfidence in saying opinions or idea. Low of student creativity in study and the result study of mathematic student is still under target. To solue this problem, the researcher used active learning strategy, type of learning tournament the purposes of the research is to know how activity / creativity and result study of students mathematic using active learning strategy, type learning tournament type is better than using conventional learning in the first year students in SMPN 5 Koto XI Tarusan. The kind of research was experimental research the population was the first year students in SMPN 5 Koto XI Tarusan in academic year  2012/ 2013. From the result of data, it was found tcount  = 2,25 and ttable = 1,68, tcount was big than table (tcount > ttable ) because of that, the hypothesis was received. Based on the analysis, it could conclude that students activity in using active learning strategy learning tournament type in the first year students in SMPN 5 Koto XI Tarusan in academic year 2012/2013 was increased than using conventional learning.
