Abstrak

The research began from the fact researchers in the field, that students have difficulty in understanding the concepts of social studies as currently takes place in a social studies teacher who has not been using various models of learning in social studies learning. So that student learning outcomes have not been as expected. For that action research conducted using learning model type TGT to improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning. The research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings which are held at the end of the final test cycle. Subjects of the study were students of SDN 10 IVB Ditch Stone, District Tigo Nagari, Pasaman. From the results of the study shows that the results of the first cycle of meetings 1 implementation aspects of teachers 71%, 66.67% students aspects. In the first cycle 2 implementation aspects of meeting 79% of teachers, 75% of students aspects. 65.5 first cycle of learning outcomes. At the first meeting of the second cycle implementation aspects of teacher 83.3%, 79.17% students aspects. In the second cycle 2 implementation aspects of teacher gathering 87.5%, 83.3% students aspects. Student learning outcomes 82 second cycle. From the results obtained from this study concluded that the use of cooperative TGT IPS can improve learning outcomes in grade IV / B Elementary School District 10 Ditch Stone Tigo Nagari, Pasaman.
