Abstrak

This research is done on the basic assumption that students mathematic achievement of the fourth grade students’ at SDN 20 KuraoPagang Padang is still low. It is caused by learning process is dominated by the teacher process. They cannot encourage the students activity. One of the ways to solve this problem is using card sort learning strategy. The objective of this research is to describe students’ mathematics achievement and activities at SDN 20 KuraoPagang Padang. This research is classroom action research that has, two cycley and each of the consists of three meetings. The research subjects are students’ of class IV SDN 20 KuraoPagang Padang observation sheet for the students and teacher are research instrument. The research is sult showed that using card sort strategy can improve students’ mathematic achievement and activities in learning process, it can beseen form the is improvement form cycle I (about 47,36%) to cycle II (about 83,33%). Based on the result it can be concluded that students achievement on mathematic, and activities was improved in mathematic teaching learning process using card sort strategy at SDN 20 KuraoPagang.
