Abstrak

Learning Social Sciences is a science that examines social issues in people's daily lives, with social studies learning students understand in terms of social life in society and can foster a spirit of socializing in people's lives. In learning at school, the teacher only uses the Cemara LKS book, the theme book in explaining the material, but it has not focused on students and linking knowledge concepts, the use of the theme book is not optimal, many students do not understand the exercises carried out, social studies material the theme books and worksheets are incomplete on basic competencies 3.2 Identifying social, economic, cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in the local province as the identity of the Indonesian nation and its relationship to spatial characteristics, which have not linked the KD to the local province, and the model used is cooperative learning model and there is no use of constructivism-based learning model. Therefore, the researcher conducted a development research entitled "Development of Social Studies Learning Module Based on Constructivism Model for Grade IV Elementary School". The type of research conducted is Research and Development (R&D) research using a 4-D development model, namely, Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. However, due to time constraints, this research only reached the Develop stage. The subjects of the Constructivism-based Social Studies learning module trial were 19th graders at SDN 21 Cupak. At the module validation stage, it is carried out by 3 validators, namely material expert validators, linguists, and design experts by providing questionnaires and modules, for the practical phase it is carried out after validation by the validator and is feasible to be tested on fourth grade elementary school students and provide questionnaires to students and teachers, the aim is to determine the level of practicality of the learning modules that have been made. Based on the results of research on the development of social studies learning modules based on the Constructivism Model, the average validity of 3 validators was 85.37% with valid criteria, while the average practicality of teachers and students was 96.10% with very practical criteria. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the social studies learning module based on the constructivism model is valid and practical to use in social studies learning, so that it can be used as teaching material in the learning process for grade IV SD.
