PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS IV SDN 07 LUHAK NAN DUO DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE DEMONSTRASI

Abstrak

The background of the research based on the lack activity and the low of the result study of mathematic grade four students in Elementary School 07 Luhak Nan Duo. It is caused of the learning process is still teacher – centered. It means, the teacher tends to explain the lessons more than giving students a chance to explore their knowledge about the materials. One of the way how to overcome this problem is using demonstration methode. The purpose of the research is to describe the improvement of activity and the result study of mathematic students grade four by using demonstration methode in Elementary School 07 Luhak Nan Duo . The kind of this research is a class action research. The research is done by two cycles. The subject of this research is twenty - three students grade four Elementary School 07 Luhak Nan Duo. The research instrument is observation sheet of teacher activity, students activity and the test of the result study of mathematic students. The result of the research shows that the improvement of students learning activity from cycle I is 66% over to cycle II is 88% and the standard of students mathematic learning result from cycle I is 65% over to cycle II is 91%. The conclusion of the research is that activity and the result study of students mathematic grade four can be improved by using demonstration methode in Elementary School 07 Luhak Nan Duo.
