Abstrak

The underlying background of this study is because the growing thinking in middle school students about mathematics is a difficult lesson that causes students to feel anxious when interacting with math lessons called math anxiety.The method used in this research is a quantitative research method that aims to test established hypotheses.The instruments in this study are questionnaires obtained from math anxiety questionnaires and the value of students' math learning outcomes obtained from the daily assessment values of odd semesters of mathematics students.The subjects in this study were students of class VII Madrasah Mardiyah Islamiyah Panyabungan Mandailing Natal which amounted to 32 students.This study showed that the negative marked correlation coefficient of r = -0.68 then the coefficient of determination was obtained only by 46.24% and for thitung > ttabel with thitung = 45.52 and ttabel = 1.70 and the level of α = 0.05 so that H0 was rejected.So it was concluded that there was a significant influence between mathematics anxiety (Mathematics Anxiety) on the results of mathematics students of class VII Madrasah Mardiyah Islamiyah Panyabungan Mandailing Natal.
