GAYA BAHASA DALAM NOVEL”AYAH, MENGAPA AKU BERBEDA?” KARYA AGNES DAVONAR

Abstrak

This study aimed to describe the type of style of figurative language and rhetorical style of the language contained in the novel is stylistic comparisons, metaphors, personification, metonymy, tautology, hyperbole. Theory is used as supporting material are those of Gorys Keraf. This type of research is a qualitative study using descriptive method that collects the data and make inferences. Object of this study is the novel "Daddy, Why I'm Different? "The work of Agnes Davonar. Based on the results of data analyzes conducted on the novel "Daddy, Why I'm Different?" By Agnes Davonar. found (1) style of figurative language four language style, (2) rhetorical style two style. Furthermore, the linkage of the most dominant style of language used is the language style of comparison, while the least used style stylistic metaphor. Based on the data analysis we can conclude the most dominant style of language used in the author of the novel "Daddy, Why I'm Different?" By Agnes Davonar is stylistic comparison because the author wanted to mean is presented to the reader is reached. The intention is to draw the reader's attention, convey something more obvious, like to embellish or expand words, and the picture clarity of thinking raises.
