PENINGKATAN MINAT DAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SIAWA KELAS X5 DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE SRT (SEARCH REWRITE AND TEST) SISWA DI SMA NEGERI 2 PANCUNG SOAL KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

Abstrak

This research was stimulated by the background of students’ deficient in aspiration and reading comprehension ability at the class X5 SMA Negeri 2 Pancung Soal of Pesisir Selatan. The aim of this research was to describe the improvement of students’ aspiration and reading comprehension skill at the class X5 by using method of Search, Rewrite and Test (SRT) in SMA Negeri 2 Pancung Soal of South Pesisir Regency. This research used theory was affirmed by Tarigan about reading comprehension as the type of reading which has the objective to understanding the text, Agustina about the reading comprehension aspects. This research was conducted with two cycles. It was class room action research. The subject of this research was the students at the class X5 SMA Negeri 2 Pancung Soal of Pesisir Selatan totally 34 people. The collection of data used observation sheets, writing test and field notes. Based on the result of the research, can be known (1) the average of students’ aspiration in learning to the first cycle was 84,04 and had improved become 94,94 to the second cycles.  (2) the average of students’ learning outcome to the first cycle was 45,57 and had improved become 90 to the second cycles. Therefore, it can be concluded that by using search rewrite and test method (SRT) can improve students’ aspiration and their learning outcome at the class X5 SMA Negeri 2 Pancung Soal of Pesisir Selatan.
