BENTUK KATA SAPAAN MASYARAKAT DUSUN TOTOET KECAMATAN SIBERUT TENGAH KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN MENTAWAI

Abstrak

This study aims to describe the form of the inventory and greeting people Totoet Middle District of Siberut Mentawai Islands. Aspects studied is the use of the word forms and greeting people Totoet Hamlet, namely: core kinship greeting word, word greeting extended kinship, and the common greeting. The theory used is the theory of the greeting written by Syafyahya. This research is a qualitative descriptive method. Objects in this study is the Hamlet Community Totoet Middle District of Siberut Mentawai Islands. Meanwhile, researchers analyzed the data to perform the way, as follows: (1) to classify the data, (2) analyzing the data, (3) interpret the results of data analysis, and (4) conclude the interpretation of the data. Based on the analysis of the data found that in society there Totoet Hamlet sixty eight greeting word forms, including: greeting word kinship eighteen core, thirty-five-word greeting extended kinship, and fifteen common greeting word. Based on the results of the data analysis, we can conclude there in Hamlet Totoet: (1) the original form of the word greeting nine core kinship, (2) the original form of the word nineteen greeting extended kinship, and (3) the form of the original seven common greeting word.
