EMAMPUAN MENULIS PUISI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA AUDIOVISUAL SISWA KELAS VII.2 SMP ADABIAH PADANG

Abstrak

This research was triggered by the background of lower student’s ability in writing a poem at the class of VII.2 Adabiah Padang. This research aim to describe the students’ ability in writing a poem by using audiovisual media consisted of (1) students’ ability in using diction at the class of VII.2 Adabiah Padang covered the related meaning of word, meaning correction and the creativity of student in writing a poem by using audiovisual media.   (2) students’ ability in using image at the class of VII.2 Adabiah Padang covered the amount, type and function of impression image to be used in writing a poem by using audiovisual media. The type of this research was a qualitative research by using descriptive method. The object of this research was the entire of students at the class VII.2 SMP Adabiah Padang totally 39 people, while technique of collecting data was done by the manner: (1) determining a type of song and picture will be used to watch the student, (2) establishing the time for watching the video, (3) giving some information about the procedure of students’ activities by the collection noun, verb and adjective before organizing the word to be a poem, (4) collecting the result of poetry by students (5) reading the outcome of student’s writing (6) signing and writing related aspect with the research problem. Based on the research result to the students’ ability in writing a poem at class of VII.2 Adabiah Padang by using audiovisual media, therefore can be concluded that the ability of student in writing a poem in SMP Adabiah Padang fell on the category of enough by average score 64. it can be seen the diction that have been used by the student in writing a poem have denotative meaning a lot and from 39 data was found about 8 data without using impression image. The visual image was dominant in use. In order to get an optimal outcome, need to improve the teaching process of literary especially in writing a poem.
