Abstrak

The lack of willingness of students to do exercises in mathematics learning outcomes lead to  students learning mathematics is low. Effort to improve student learning outcomes is a way to change the learning strategy, one of which is to implement an active learning strategies type Quis Team. This research is experimental research, which aims to determine the difference in students’ mathematics learning outcomes which apply active learning strategies type Quis Team with conventional learning. After testing hypotheses againtt the data on students achievement test second grade, then earned an average math students learning outcomes experimental class 66.54 whereas the control class 42.46. So the mathematics learning outcomes of student who apply active learning strategies type Quis Team is better that the mathematics learning outcomes of student who apply conventional learning in class VII SMPN 4 Batang Kapas Pesisir Selatan.
