MIX CODE ON YOUTUBE CHANNEL HENY HARUN SERIAL MONDAY LIP DAY AND ITS IMPACT ON THE EXISTENCE OF VOCABULARY INDONESIAN

Abstrak

This research aims to describe (1) the form of code mixed based on language elements, namely words, phrases and clauses on the Heny Harun YouTube channel monday lip day series, (2) types of code mixes, mix code into and mix code out on the YouTube channel Heny Harun monday Lip Day series, (3) the cause of the code mix on the YouTube channel Heny Harun series Monday Lip Day, (4) the impact of code mix on the YouTube channel Heny Harun series Monday Lip Day on the existence of vocabulary Indonesian. The theory used as a reference in this study is Mix Code: Kridalaksana (2008: 40). This type of research is qualitative research that usesdescriptive methods. The data collection technique described is done by: (1) Downloading two videos uploaded by Heny Harun on his YouTube channel (2) Listening and recording Heny Harun's speech identified as a form of code mix (3) Finding the appropriate word equivalent to KBBI (4) Spreading the questionnaire to Heny Harun subscribers. Based on data analysis and discussion obtained the results of the study as follows: researchers suggested that the data mix code found as much as 88 data. The data consists of a type of mixed code that is mixed code into as much as 22 data, mix code out as much as 66 data. From the form of mixed code, namely words as much asm47 data, phrases as much as 33 data and clauses as many as eight data. Furthermore, the cause of the code mix on the Beauty Vlogger Heny Harun YouTube Channel serial Monday Lip Day is role identification, variety identification, and desire to explain and interpret. The use of mixed code on this YouTube channel has a positive and negative impact on the existence of Indonesian. One of the negative impacts of code mix is the declineof formal language skills. The use of mixed codes is a form of self-efficacy towards the self, because it is comfortable with the habit, so it doesnot try to find vocabulary in Indonesian that causes the existence of some vocabulary Indonesian. The positive impact is, when an overseas person watches a show that contains a mix of code, he will more easily get to know the Indonesian spoken repeatedly by the speaker through the impression.
