IMPROVING STUDENT ABILITY IN WRITING ARGUMENTATIVE AT X.1 SMAN 1 2 X 11 ENAM LINGKUNG KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN USEPROBLEM BASED LEARNING TECHNIQUE
Abstrak
The background of this research were the weakness of the students ability in writing argumentative, students have limited vocabulary, students don’t used EYD well and correctly, and there is no various learning technique. The purpose of this research is to describe improving the first grade students ability in writing argumentative use Problem Based Learning (PBL) technique. The writer is used theory by Tarigan and Semi, about argumentative Atmazaki, Keraf, and Semi, and problem based learning theory by Amir and Rusman. This research was action research (PTK) and the result was descriptive data such as written words or orally that we can observed. The result of writing argumentative in siclus I was moderate (72%) and siclus II was very good (86,6%) in ten scale, so the result was increased 14,6%. Based on the result of this research, the research that the first grade students ability in writing argumentative at X.1 SMAN 1 2X11 Enam Lingkung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman is increased by using Probem Based Learning (PBL).
