KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PUISI SISWA KELAS VII.1 DENGAN TEKNIK OBJEK LANGSUNG DI SMP NEGERI 1 SOLOK SELATAN

Abstrak

This researchaimed to describe the students' skills in writing poetry for grade VII.1 with direct object techniques, the case are included: (1) choice of words (diction), and (2) images. The theory used in this research are: (1) writing, (2) poetry, (3) diction; (4) imagery, (5) direct object techniques, and (6) teaching poetry in KTSP SMP curriculum and MTsN. This type of research is a qualitative research by using descriptive method. The subjects of this research were all students in grade VII.1 with the number of 25 students, which consisted of 20 girls and 5 boys with a research focus on aspects of characterization, setting, theme, mandate, and language style. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the students' ability in writing poetry grade VII.1 in the review of (1) aspects of diction, 16 students are capable and 9 students are still less able to develop diction. The average value aspects of diction is 65.86 (enough qualifiers), (2) aspects of the imagery is 67.10 (qualifications take more than enough). Based on the data analysis it can be concluded that grade VII.1 of SMP Negeri 1 Solok Selatan quite capable of writing poetry. Thus more students are using diction which has denotation meaning and imagery less variable because tends to use the vision images.
