PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE SNOWBALL THROWING

Abstrak

This research is motivated by low mathematics achievement of students of class VII MTs Padang Lawas. This is caused by the lack of courage of students in asking and answering the teacher's questions. one of the ways that can be used to overcome this problem is to use a learning model Snowball Throwing.Tujuan this study to describe the increase in student mathematics achievement in grade VII MTs Padang Lawas through Snowball Throwing learning models. This type of research is a classroom action research. This study conducted two cycles, each consisting of four meetings. Subjects of this study were students of class VII MTs Padang Lawas, amounting to 24 people. The research instrument used in this study is the observation sheet activities of teachers and student achievement test. The results showed an increase that mastery learning mathematics students of the first cycle is 54.2% and the second cycle to 62.5%. It can be concluded that the results of class VII students' mathematics learning can be enhanced by using learning models Snowball Throwing in class VII MTs Padang Lawas.
