PENINGKATAN HASIL PEMBELAJARAN IPA DENGAN PENGGUNAAN METODE DISCOVERY PADA SISWAKELAS II SDN 27 SUNGAI DURIAN KECAMATAN SUNGAI PAGUKABUPATEN SOLOK SELATAN

Abstrak

The background of this research is the learning process is not suitable as the teacher wants.  The writer is not using the method that suitable with the material yet, not giving the direct experience to the students, still using lecture method. The aim of this research is to increase the IPA achievement in II grade SDN 27 Sungai Durian Kecamatan Sungai Pagu with Discovery method. This is action research. This research did on SDN 27 Sungai Durian, the subject of this research is the II grade students which are 20 persons. This research did in 2 cycles. The result shows that the using of Discovery method can increase the IPA students achievement. The increase can be shown by the means of students achievement : (1) cognitive cycle I : 56 increase to 61 in cycle II, with the increase 3.5. (2) affective cycle I : 73.3% increase to 76.3% in cycle II, with 3,0% increase, (3) psychomotor cycle I : 72.7% increase to 77.4% in cycle II with 4,7% increase. Based on the result can be resumed that Discovery method can increase the IPA achievement in II grade SDN 27 Sungai Durian, and can be used as the alternative in IPA learning process in elementary school.
