In the process of teaching and learning mathematics usually only explains on the blackboard, not using interesting media. In addition, practice questions are given and students are asked to work on them, after the learning is complete students are given homework so that students understand better. But when at school, they were asked to work on questions in front of the class without bringing a book, students could not do it even though they had been given practice and had been given homework. Then a research was carried out with the title "Development of Monopoly Game Media in Mathematics Subjects for Class IV Fractions at SD Negeri 36 Gunung Sarik Padang". Learning is an effort made by educators or teachers intentionally with the aim of conveying knowledge by organizing and creating a learning environment system with various methods so that students can carry out learning activities more optimally (Kirom, 2017: 69). Learning can be interpreted as an effort made by the teacher consciously and intentionally to teach students with the aim of conveying knowledge. Mathematics learning is a teaching and learning process that is built by teachers to develop students' creative thinking that can improve the ability to construct new knowledge as an effort to improve good mastery of mathematical material. Learning mathematics is a teaching and learning process that contains two types of activities that are inseparable. (Susanto, 2013:186-187). This research was designed using the Research and Development (R&D) method. This research is a research and development with a 4D model developed by Thiagarajan. According to Trianto (2014: 233), the 4D model consists of 4 stages, namely: define (definition stage), design (design stage), develop (development stage), and disseminate (dissemination stage). However, due to limited ability, time and cost, this research was developed to the develop stage or can be shortened to 3D. The first stage is the definition stage, at this stage the determination of learning is carried out by analyzing the current curriculum, the curriculum currently being implemented at SDN 36 Gunung Sarik Padang is the 2013 revised 2018 curriculum in Mathematics subject with KD fractions. 3.2 and 4.2 . The second stage is the design, at this stage the monopoly game media is designed for fourth grade mathematics learning at SDN 36 Gunung sarik padang, the monopoly game media is made using the Canva and Coreldraw applications, which have many kinds of funny and interesting animations according to the characteristics of elementary school students. , The use of writing is clear and can be seen and read by students, then the use of the basic background color is adjusted. The third stage, namely development, includes validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Validation on the monopoly game media in fourth grade mathematics learning at SDN 36 Gunung Sarik Padang was validated by 3 experts from the lecturers of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Bung Hatta University consisting of materials expert, linguist, and display expert. The practicality of monopoly game media in fourth grade mathematics learning at SDN 36 Gunung Sarik Padang is practiced by educators and students. The effectiveness of the media is done by looking at the students' pretest and posttest. Pretest is used to obtain data on learning outcomes of students' prior knowledge before starting learning activities, while posttest is used to obtain student learning outcomes after using monopoly game media. Based on the results of the research on the development of the monopoly game media for learning mathematics with fractions, an overall average validity of 92.6% was obtained with valid criteria, while for practicality by teachers and students, an overall average of 96.6% was obtained with practical criteria, and for the effectiveness of the pretest. and posttest obtained an overall average of 0.74 with high criteria. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the monopoly game media for learning mathematics with fractions is very valid, very practical, and effectively used in learning mathematics, so it can be used as one of the teaching materials in class IV SD Negeri 36 Gunung Sarik Padang.Referensi
