Abstrak

In the learning process, teachers have the skills to develop learning media. The Ministry of National Education (2008:12) reveals that among the learning media that can be used and developed by teachers are printed teaching materials such as handouts, books, modules, student worksheets, brochures, leaflets, wallcharts, photos/pictures, with approaches/mockups. Learning module is a tool or learning resource used by teachers to convey information in the form of subject matter to students. For this reason, an educator must be able to choose, determine, and create a learning module that can improve student understanding in learning. Daryanto (2013:9) states that the module is one of the teaching materials that is packaged in a complete and systematic way, in which it creates a set of learning experiences that are planned and designed to help students master specific learning objectives. The use of modules in the learning process can activate students so that learning is no longer boring. In addition, the use of modules in the learning process can also produce changes in students, especially if the modules are associated with things that are around their environment. Prastowo (2016:387), in compiling the module, it is necessary to use a thematic model to achieve learning competence. Some of these learning models include problem-based learning, inquiry learning, project-based learning and others. In this study, researchers want to discuss the problem-based learning model.
