Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of student learning outcomes in finding the main sentence and rewrite the story the students read because teachers are less skilled in using appropriate learning models in learning to read, especially in reading comprehension. The theory used the theory of Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) proposed by Slavin. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). Based on the results of research that has found that students' reading activity during the first cycle prabaca gained 48.68% and increased in the second cycle to be 85.52%. At the time I read cycles obtained 51.30% and increased in the second cycle to be 80.26%. In the first cycle of activities pascabaca gained 52.63% and increased in the second cycle to be 78.94%. Activities of teachers in the first cycle to obtain a value of 68.74% and increased in the second cycle to be 90.62%. This means that the process of reading comprehension of students in the fourth grade SN 03 Bandar Create the model of learning Indonesian through Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) is progressing well and can improve students' reading comprehension skills. It can be seen from the increase in the average value of the recapitulation of the first cycle students acquire 68.16 and rose to 80.13 in the second cycle. Thus, the implementation of the learning model of reading comprehension through Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) went well, saw an increase in the value of student learning outcomes from the first cycle to the second cycle.
