PENINGKATAN PROSES DAN HASIL PEMBELAJARAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN STRATEGI DRTA DI KELAS V SDN O7 IKUR KOTO KECAMATAN KOTO TANGAH

Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of reading comprehension and learning outcomes of students in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to describe the process and learning outcomes of students' reading comprehension achivement by using  DRTA strategy. The research method applied was the class of action research. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consist of two meetings. The subjects were the 29 fifth grade students of SDN Ikur Koto. Research instrument used in the study was the observation sheet teacher activities, student activities, and achievement test. Based on the results of research, it has been founded that the strategy was effective to improve the learning process and students' reading comprehension. Achievement. It can be seen from the average of students' learning process the first cycle which increased from 37.05% to 72.50% in the second cycle (30.45% increase). Besides the students’ready comprehension achievements in creased from 48,2% in cycle I into72,4% in cycle II (24,2%).The research suggsied that the students are expected to tend the class with DRTA strategy,the teachers as a whale apply the strategy,and the school complete the freihteins.
