INCREASING STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENT OF VIIID IN PKN SUBJECT BY USING MIND MAP AT SMPN 3 GUNUNG TALANG, SOLOK REGENSY.

Abstrak

test in PKn : (1) the materials that is conveyed became uninteresting and brought bad effects toward their test, (2) the students got low creatifity. The purpose of this research is to describe students’s achievement in PKn subject through Mind map. The action is the process of students’s achievement of IXB in PKn subject at SMPN 3 Gunung Talang. Based on the result of first cycle, the percentage of students who passed the test is 81% and the average of student’s score is 72,77. It increased in second cycle became 83,5% with the average student’s score is 85,39%. From the comparison of both cycle, there is achievement 25%. Its means that the learning process in PKn subject through Mind map is well done. The result of this research can be concluded that the learning of PKn subject through Mind map can increase student’s achievement of class VIIID at SMPN 3 Gunung Talang. So, the researcher suggests to the teacher to choose and use the Mind map to increase the student’s achievement.
