Abstrak

Based on the experience of teaching a class researchers SDN 09 Padang Parak Tower , in the teaching of mathematics and still use the lecture method is still teacher-centered learning . Students were not given an explanation of how to understand math well . So that student learning outcomes are low. The purpose of this research is to improve students' mathematics classroom learning outcomes SDN 09 Parak Tower using a model of Reciprocal Teaching . Formulation of the problem is how this empirically improve learning outcomes by using a mathematical model of Reciprocal Teaching in class V SDN 09 Padang Parak Tower ? . Hypothesis action research : through Reciprocal Teaching models can improve learning outcomes math fifth grade students of SDN 09 Padang Parak Tower . Types in this study is action research . Research subjects consisted of 09 fifth grade students of SDN Parak Tower totaling 30 students . Instrument in this study is the use of teacher observation sheet activities , achievement test and field notes . Based on these results it can be seen the average percentage of 62.5% of all teachers in the first cycle increased to 80 % in the second cycle , an average of 68.5 student learning outcomes in the first cycle increased to 74.5 in the second cycle . From the research it can be concluded that the model of learning mathematics through Reciprocal Teaching Mathematics to improve learning outcomes of students in grade 09 Parak Tower VSDN Padang . Based on the research results , it is suggested that teachers can apply the well Reciprocal Teaching models in learning Mathematics
