Development of Civics Learning Modules Using Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) Models for Grade V Students at State Elementary School 33 Padang Mandiangin

According to Zamroni, 2013. In Zamroni's view, civic education is a democratic education that aims to prepare citizens of society to think critically and act democratically, through the activity of instilling awareness to a new generation, about the awareness that democracy is the form of life of society that best guarantees the rights of citizens of society. Based on the results of observations made by researchers on October 13, 2021 with class V teachers at SDN 33 Padang Mandiangin, it was found that there were problems in the civics learning process, including teachers only using printed book teaching materials and LKS. Of the several books used, they still do not conform to the characteristics of the students. Therefore, based on the explanation above, the researcher will conduct a research with the title "Development of Civics Learning Modules Using a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model for Grade V Students of SDN 33 Padang Mandiangin". This type of research is research and development (R&D) with a 4D development stage, which is described as Define, design, development and dissemination which is modified into 3-D. This research is carried out until the development stage. The test subjects for the development of Civics Learning Modules Using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model for Grade V Students of SDN 33 Padang Mandiangin totaled 21 students. In the validation stage, the module that has been designed, continued with validation activities by validators consisting of 3 lecturers from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Hatta University. The practicality stage is carried out after the module is validated and is feasible to be tested with the aim of knowing the level of practicality of the Learning module that has been made. Based on the results of research on the Development of Civics Learning Modules Using the Contextual Teaching and Learning Model obtained from the results of the analysis of validity value data provided by validators, namely with an average of 89.58% with valid criteria and the practicality results of teachers and students obtained an average percentage of 85.71% already meeting practical criteria.
