“Development of Indonesian Language Learning Modules Based on a Constructivism Approach for Class IV SDN 02 Ulak Karang Selatan Padang City

The module is a teaching material that is arranged in a complete and systematic way to help students achieve the goals that have been set, as well as to reduce the dependence of students on teachers in learning. Through the module, students can measure their level of mastery of the material presented in the module. This is supported by Daryanto (2013: 9) who says that the module is a form of teaching material that is packaged in a complete and systematic way which contains a set of learning experiences that are planned and designed to help students master specific learning objectives. However, in the learning process, several facts were found in the implementation of learning in schools. The facts found are as follows: 1) Learning is still centered on the teacher, 2) Students are less active in learning in class, 3) Less interesting teaching materials, 4) There is no Indonesian language learning module based on the Constructivism Approach at SDN 02 Ulak Karang Selatan, Padang City. The type of research conducted is Research and Development (R&D) using a 3-D model, namely: Definition; Planning (Design), and Development (Develop). (The subjects of the research trial were fourth grade students of SDN 02 Ulak Karang Selatan Padang City, totaling 5 people on a limited scale and 20 people on a small scale. At the validation stage, the comics that had been designed were validated by a validator consisting of 3 lecturers from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Science. Bung Hatta University Education The practical phase is carried out after the module has been validated and deserves to be tested to determine the level of practicality and effectiveness of the modules that have been made. Based on the results of research on the development of Indonesian learning modules, the overall validity average is 91.78% with very valid criteria, while for the average practicality by teachers on a limited scale it is 90.90% with very practical criteria on a limited scale and 93, 18% with very practical criteria on a small scale. The results of practicality by students were 89.25% with practical criteria on a limited scale and 88.51% with practical criteria on a small scale. In the limited-scale module effectiveness test, it meets the sufficient criteria, namely 0.42 and in the small-scale test meets the sufficient criteria, namely 0.63. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Indonesian language learning module based on the Constructivism Approach is very valid, very practical, and effective to be used as teaching materials in Indonesian language learning in elementary schools.Referensi
