Abstrak

According to Prastowo (2015: 106) says that the module is "teaching materials that are systematically arranged according to their level of knowledge and age so that they can learn self-taught (independently) as well as minimal assistance or guidance from educators". Discovery learning is learning based on discovery. According to Hermawan (2020:12), the Discovery Learning learning model is "a learning process that leads students to find a concept that has not been previously known by doing with an observation and research of the problems given by the teacher which aims to make students act as active learning subjects. in classroom learningâ€. Meanwhile, according to Maharani (2017: 552), Discovery Learning is "a model for developing active student learning by discovering for themselves, investigating themselves, then the results obtained will be loyal and long-lasting in memory, and will not be easily forgotten by students". This research uses research and development or also known as (Research and Development). Research and development is a type of research that leads to product development. According to Sugiyono (2019:418) research and development is "research used to research so as to produce new products, and test the effectiveness of these products". Based on the results of research on the development of science learning modules based on Discovery Learning, the overall validity average is (93.32%) with very valid criteria. The modules developed are categorized as very practical with an average (92.61%) where practicality by teachers with an average (95.93%) is also very practical according to students with an average (89.29%). From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Discovery Learningbased science module is very valid and practical to use in science learning, so that it can be used as teaching material in learning in class V at SDN 12 Api-Api Pesisir Selatan
