Development of Powtoon on the Class IV Flat Build Material at SD Negeri 24 Ujung Gurun

Education is a process for students who are expected to be a place to develop their potential optimally without coercion. According to Nurkholis (2013: 25) "Education is a process that is needed to get balance and perfection in the development of individuals and society". One of the general goals of education is to educate the nation's children. However, the facts found in the field at this time the world of education still has several obstacles, one of which is related to technological developments, especially in the use of learning media. The development of technology in the world of education has a significant influence on the interaction between teachers and students. The use of technology in schools should be used by teachers, especially to support the learning process, for example in the manufacture of learning media. Technology-based learning media can make it easier for teachers to describe or illustrate the material. So that students are able to see clearly between the material with real practice. Learning media are tools used to support the implementation of the teaching and learning process, from books to the use of electronic devices in the classroom (Azhar Arsyad, 2013: 3). There are several applications that are very easy to use as learning media, one of which is Powtoon. Powtoon is a web-based application that can be used to create learning media because there are various interesting and easy-to-use features such as making animated videos and presentations (Ernalida, et al 2018). The type of research carried out in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model that is modified into 3D due to the limited time in the research. The stages of research carried out are define, design, and development. The subjects of this study were the fourth grade students of the State Elementary School 24 Ujung Gurun, totaling 22 students. At the validation stage, 2 validators were carried out, namely material experts and media experts. For the practicality stage, it is carried out after the powtoon validated and deserves to be tested to find out the practicality of the powtoon that has been made. Based on the results of research on the development of Powtoon , the overall validity average by material experts and media experts is 87.5% with valid criteria, while the average practicality by teachers and students is obtained an overall average of 94.7% with very practical criteria. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that powtoon is valid and practical to use in learning Mathematics, so it can be used as one of the teaching materials in learning in class IV SD Negeri 24 Ujung GurunReferensi
