PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENEMUKAN GAGASAN UTAMA TEKS BACAAN DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE MAKE A MATCH PADA SISWA KELAS VII.3 SMPN 1 GUNUNG TALANG KABUPATEN SOLOK

Abstrak

This research is based on the students’ result in learning to find out the main idea of a text. This is caused by the fact that the will of the students in reading is still law, the appropriate learning method is not found yet, and the ineffective use of learning media. In order to solve these problems, the researcher offers a solution by using a method of Make a Match. This research purposes to observe whether the application of Make a Match method in finding out the main idea in the text be able to improve the learning result of the students class VII.3 SMP N 1 Gunung Talang Kabupaten Solok. This is a class action research. The result of this research is that there is an improvement of students’ result learning in finding out the main idea of the text. It is proved by the grade got by the students; in first cycle whose their average grade is 76,35 with comprehensiveness percentage is about 80,77%, became higher in second cycle whose their average grade is 85,39 with comprehensiveness percentage is about 96,15%. Based on the result of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the application of Make a Match learning method to find out main idea of the text is able to improve the learning result of the students of class VII.3 SMPN 1 Gunung Talang Kabupaten Solok.
