Learning is a process of change in the human personality and the change is seen in the form of increasing the quality and quantity of a person's behavior such as increasing skills, knowledge, attitudes, habits, understanding, skills, thinking power and other abilities. The module is a learning material that is compiled and designed by the author so that the subject matter can be delivered properly to students. According to Daryanto (2013: 31) says that "Modules can be interpreted as subject matter that is prepared and presented in writing in such a way that readers are expected to absorb the material themselves. The use of modules in the learning process can activate students so that learning is no longer boring. In addition, the use of modules in the learning process can also produce changes in students, especially if the modules are associated with things that are around their environment. The type of research conducted in this research is Research and Development (R&D). The subjects of this research trial were fourth grade students of State Elementary School 14 Rantau Batu Ambacang, Pesisir Selatan Regency, totaling 14 students. At the validation stage, 3 validators were carried out, namely material experts, linguists, and design experts. The practicality stage is carried out after the module has been validated and deserves to be tested to determine the level of practicality of the module that has been made. Based on the results of research on the development of learning modules based on the Inquiry Method, the overall validity average is 94.72 with very valid criteria, while for the average practicality by the teacher, the average practicality value is 95.45% with very practical criteria and practicality results. by students obtained with an average value of 92.91% practicality with very practical criteria. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Inquiry Method-based learning module meets the valid and very practical criteria that can be used in the mathematics learning process for fourth grade elementary school (SD) students.
