Abstrak

According to Daryanto (2013: 9), "module is a form of teaching material that is packaged in a complete and systematic way, in which it contains a series of learning experiences that are planned and designed to help students master specific learning objectives". The minimum module contains learning objectives, learning materials/substances, and evaluation. The module works as an independent learning tool, so that students can learn independently at their own pace. However, in the learning process, several facts were found, such as the delivery of oneway material, it can be seen that in learning teachers have not designed teaching materials other than teaching materials that are already available in schools, namely textbooks and LKS. However, in the learning process, some found facts such as general learning teaching materials that only focused on a few printed books, in some the use of printed books in schools was still not optimal because some of the book pages were torn so that when studying students felt confused in determining the page. books to be read and studied, the lack of availability of other source books so that students only receive learning from the teacher, the unavailability of learning materials in Science Learning education-based learning. Based on research on the development of teaching materials in the form of modules, the overall validity average is 91,48% with valid criteria, while for the average practicality by teachers, the percentage of practicality is 98,33% with very practical criteria and practicality results by students are obtained with the proportion practicality 92,31% with very practical criteria. From the results of the study, it can be said that learning materials are modules that meet the criteria and are practical that can be used in the process of Science Learning in class IV Elementary School (SD) independently
