Abstrak

This research is motivated by the realities in the field of learning in fourth grade elementary school are still much in use conventional methods, problems in teaching and FPB KPK explained by the lecture method, students pay attention to it, no one asked the students if they do not understand / do not understand . The purpose of this research is to improve mathematics learning outcomes using PMR approach the fourth grade students of SDN 19 Batang Kapas Kampung Baru district. This research is a classroom action research (CAR), and this study used a qualitative approach. There are 4 stages of TOD include: Planning, Implementation, Observations and Reflections. This study was conducted in two cycles, the data of this study in the form of observations, observations of teacher activity, and the final test of learning. Subjects in this study were fourth grade students. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle were obtained an average of 68.75. In the second cycle of learning outcomes obtained average value is 86.33. Concluded that the study of mathematics by using PMR approach can improve student learning outcomes math class IV.
