Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase of student competency in writing poem using pikir plus strategy on fourth grade students of SD Negeri 13 Batu Gadang. Type of research is a class action (class action research,) the approach used is qualitative approaches. Subjects were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 13 Batu Gadang totaling 25 people. The data of this study in the form of aspects of teacher observations, interview, field note, observation of aspects of the students activity worksheets charging students, and test results. Data source is the planning, implementation, as well as interest and implementation of writing poem learning outcomes using pikir plus strategy. The results showed an increase in the: a) students learning outcomes in the first cycle is 68,7 to 79,6 in second cycle. Thus, pikir plus strategy can improve writing poem learning outcomes in the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 13 Batu Gadang. Therefore, it is suggested to other researchers in order to use pikir plus strategy to other subjects in writing poem learning of elementary school level.
