Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low achievement of public school science classes V05 Valley Crossing West Pasaman. Student learning out comes during the learning process teachers use lecture and question and answer method. One way that can be used to overcome this problem is to use the experimental method. Experimental method is a method of learning that involves students actively in conducting experiments to seek answers and to prove a theory that is being studied. The purpose of this research is to improve students' learning out comes IPA class V. Type of research is a class act. The research was conducted in two cycles. Based on there search that has been done can be seen that the average percentage of mastery learning out comes in the cognitive aspects of the first cycle and 56%, 68% affective aspect, psychomotor aspects of 70%, 81% percentage aspect of teacherandstudent75% percentage aspect. In the second cycle the average percentage of 81% cognitive, affective aspects of75%, 75% psychomotor aspects. Of learning outcomes in the first cycle mastery learningstudentsobtained56% and the second cycle increased to 81%. From the results of this study concluded that learning science with experimental methods to improve learning outcomes Elementary School fifth grade students 05 Valley Crossing. Advisable for teachers to implement a variety of methods, especially methods of experimentation.
