PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS SISWA KELAS VIII 1 SMP NEGERI 2 SOLOK SELATAN DENGAN PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL
Abstrak
This study aimed to describe increasing the activity and skills student’s in the eighth grade to wrote a text message, slogan / poster with contextual approach. Theory used as a support for this study are, opinion Henry Guntur Tarigan (2008) about writing, (2) Suharsimi Arikunto (2006) about PTK, (3) Ermanto (2001) about news writing, (4) Subroto (1995) about slogans and posters. This type of research in was Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study was conducted in two cycles. The subjects were eighth grade students of SMPN 2 Solok Selatan the consider of 21 student, consisting of 9 male and 12 female students. The research instrument are observation sheets and writing skills test. The results showed that students in class VIII 1 SMPN 2 Solok Selatan skilled in writing news, slogan and poster. The results activity by the student increased first cycle of 40,47 to an average 65,78 at second cycle. And the result by the students in writing increased from an average of 71,80 at first cycle to an average of 82,68 at second cycle. Based on the results of this study concluded that the writing skills of eighth grade of students of SMPN 2 Solok Selatan contextual approachis declared effective by using the technique of group discussion.
