Meanwhile, according to Susanto (2014: 19) the word learning is a combination of two learning and teaching activities. Methodological learning activities tend to be more dominant in students, while instructional teaching is carried out by the teacher. So, the term learning is a summary of the words learning and teaching. In other words, learning is a simplification of the words learning and teaching (BM), the teaching process (PBM) or teaching activities (KBM). Meanwhile, according to Slameto (2015: 29) learning is the delivery of culture in the form of experiences and skills to our students. . Or an attempt to pass on the culture of society to the next generation. According to Sanjaya (2008) learning is the hard work of students studying subject matter as a result of the lecturer's treatment of what is important for students to do during the learning process. According to Aqid (2010) learning is human elements that are arranged in a combination, including materials, equipment, and procedural facilities that influence each other to achieve educational goals. The learning model is expected to be able to assist teachers in conveying learning material so that they get good learning outcomes, can improve students' abilities to understand learning material and to get good learning outcomes. One of the learning models that can be used is the Make A Match Learning Model which is able to assist teachers in learning to get good learning outcomes However, in the learning process several facts were found in the implementation of learning at school, the facts were found as 1). Lack of student learning activity in the science learning process 2) The teacher still uses the lecture method and the teacher only uses textbooks. 3) Lack of student cooperation with friends in discussions. 4) Low science learning outcomes. 5) The lack of precise methods used by the teacher. 6) The use of less varied learning media. Therefore, the researcher conducted a study entitled "The Application of the Make A Match Learning Model in Class V Science Learning at SDN 03 Alai Padang" Based on the research results, it was obtained that the average value of the experimental class was 81 and the average value of the control class was 71. To determine the distribution of data for the two samples, a Normality Test was carried out in the VB experimental class having L count = 0.1304 and L table = 0.164 and in the control class VC has L count = 0.1507 and L table = 0.167. Obtained the price of L count < L table then the data is normally distributed. To determine whether the data is homogeneous or not, the data homogeneity test is obtained F count for both classes is F count = 1.49 and F table for the Experiment class F table = 1.87 and for the Control class F table = 1.88 obtained F count < F table where 1.49 < 1.87 and 1.49 < 1.88 thus the two data groups have a homogeneous variance. Followed by a Hypothesis Test to see whether H1 is accepted or H0 is rejected by using the t test formula, the result is t count = 2.79 and t table = 1.673 at the significance level of 0.05 with dk 55 thus t count > t table then H1 is accepted and H0 rejected, that is, there is a very significant difference between students' science learning outcomes using the make a match model and learning outcomes using conventional methods at SDN 03 Alai Padang.
