Abstrak

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in learning Indonesian, out of 26 students in grade IV, none of them achieved the Excellent Achievement Mastery Criteria (KKCU) of 80 in learning Indonesian at SD Negeri 51 Perumnas Kuranji, Padang City. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in learning Indonesian using the Number Head Together (NHT) model in class IV SD Negeri 51 Perumnas Kuranji, Padang City. The theory used in this study is the theory of learning outcomes according to Sinar (2018:20), and the theory of using the Number Head Together (NHT) model according to Shoimin (2016:107). This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research was conducted in two cycles, where cycle I consisted of two meetings and cycle II consisted of two meetings. Each cycle has four stages, namely research planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were teachers as observers, researchers as practitioners and 26 grade IV students consisting of 16 women and 10 men. In the implementation of the research, there was an increase in teacher activity in cycle I, meeting I, the percentage was 89%, increasing in meeting II to 91% with an average meeting I and II of 90. In cycle II, meeting I, the percentage increased by 95%, increasing in meeting II to 98% with the average meeting I and II was 96.5. The percentage of student activity in the first cycle of the first meeting increased by 73% at the second meeting to 86% with an average of 79.5. In cycle II meeting I the percentage was 92% increasing at meeting II to 98% with an average of 95. Based on data analysis, the results obtained in cycle I and cycle II The results of learning Indonesian students also increased from cycle I to cycle II, namely cycle I with an average acquisition of 77.30 with a percentage of 73.07%, in cycle II there was an increase with an average acquisition of class 89.61 with a percentage of 92.30%. thus, it can be concluded that the Number Head Together (NHT) model can improve the learning outcomes of Indonesian students in class IV SD Negeri 51 Perumnas Kuranji Padang City.
