Abstrak

PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN KALIMAT TANYA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL NUMBERED HEAD TOGETHER (NHT) KELAS V SDN 15 SURAU GADANG Syarpriyo Maitilza1, Wirnita1, 1program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Fakultas Keguruan Dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Bung Hatta Email: SyarpriyoMaitilza@gmail.com ABSTRACT The background of this research is the lack of reading comprehension skills of students' question sentences in grade V SDN 15 Surau Gadang which is caused during the learning process the teacher does not motivate students so students are less interested in writing. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of improving reading comprehension skills of interrogative sentences through the Numbered Head Together (NHT) model. The theory used in the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model was put forward by Shoimin (2016). This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and a final test. The subjects of this study were 27 students of class V at SDN 15 Surau Gadang. The research instrument used was an assessment sheet for students' reading comprehension skills, student activity sheets and teacher activity sheets. The completeness of the learning outcomes of students' question-reading skills in cycles I and II, the percentage of students' question-reading skills was obtained. In the first cycle, it was 37.03% with an average learning outcome of 68.5. This was because the researchers had not maximized the learning process. In cycle II, learning outcomes increased by 70.37% with an average of 80.37. The increase reached 33.34% because the researchers had carried out the learning process well. From the results of the study it can be concluded that using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) model can improve the skills of reading interrogative sentences for fifth grade students at SDN 15 Surau Gadang.
