Abstrak

This study aims to improve learning activities and science learning outcomes for class V A students at SDN 24 Alahan Panjang by using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model assisted by video media. This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of this research were 19 students of class 5 A. The research data is in the form of information about the results of the action obtained through observing the teacher's teaching activities, student learning activities and the final learning test. In the implementation of the research there was an increase in student learning activities from the first cycle of 55.29% in the sufficient category to 81.17% in the second cycle with the very good category. The student learning outcomes increased from cycle I, namely 73.68% to 94.73% in cycle II. This shows that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model assisted by video media can increase the activities and learning outcomes of science VA class students at SDN 24 Alahan Panjang Kabupaten Solok.
